StrataRise Low-Profile 1836 Pedestals for Pavers, Slabs and Tiles are adjustable from 0.7" to 1.4. This is a specially designed support for use in areas where low threshold heights are encountered.
Each support is composed of a threaded head section with 4 removable tabs 5/64" (2 mm) or 5/32" (4mm) in width for paver, slab or tile spacing. The spacer tabs are individually removable to enable the supports to be used in areas where no separation is required, such as under the centers of large slabs, or on sides. (Please note: the 3/16" spacer tabs are fragile and this version is normally only available to special order and must be shipped on a pallet to prevent damage in transit).
An easy to operate threaded adjustment ring makes raising or lowering the head really quick and precise. Height adjustments can be made without removing the paver or tile thus allowing for extremely easy and fast installation. As standard, each Low-Level 1836 pedestal comes complete with one 0.35" (9mm) extender ring (this can be fitted by lifting the head out of the base, inserting the ring and replacing the head).
A large 8" (200mm) base plate provides stable support on most surfaces. Scribe marks are provided on the underside to assist in trimming for use at sides and corners of installations. An anti-slip, cushioning, rubber base pad is available for use on membranes, etc. This effectively reduces transmitted noise where tiles are mounted on balconies or roof areas, as well as for floors in multi-occupancy buildings.
We recommend the use of our optional acoustic cushioning rings for the support head area for tile and paver installations. These help to bed tile corners securely, prevent any rattling, and reduce transmitted noise through the support system.
StrataRise pedestals are robust and can withstand high loads of at least 1760 lbs (800Kg) at maximum height extension (i.e. with one thread engaged). Normal pedestal spacing for installations is at 20" to 24" centers for most projects.
